modded gt4s are hard 2 find but a good one is far better than a cossie better built and more reliable. and dare i say it look better aswell

they are cossie beaters standard

220bhp v 235(uk) or 255(jap)

as for your earlier question of beating 2ltr 16v astras. easily you can chase cossies in one with a few mods.
and if you speak 2 someone from gt4 owners club you will get one for 600..
with a few easy mods they can be rapid cars

Is that the older shape one on a H plate? someone I know has an F plate GT4, as standard they are slow.. (0-60 in 7.6!) He had a bleed valve fitted, went round boosting about how it was now 250bhp.. etc

He followed me down the road, stopped at a junction, both floored it away, and I pulled about 6 cars gap by about 70mph

(mines a non turbo 1.8)

0-60 for uk spec - 6.1
0-60 for jap spec - 5.4 someone i know done with a standard one

yes slow overweight barges indeed

so many answers - so many guesses

for a fully recon turbo from turbo technics, your looking at 500 quid (add to that the labour for removing and refitting the turbo) another couple of hundred

place i went have siad they wont go another celica turbo cause it was such a bastard to do (snapping bolts etc trying to get the cat off)

as for uprated ones, ya looking at around 1600 quid NOT 600 as suggested about

If the turbos gone, just make sure it hasnt taken anything else with it! I can imagine the Celica being very costly to fix!

your talking 400 to recon your turbo and about 600 for an uprated one,. you could get one from the gt4 owners club maybe. my mate has an h reg. you must have an st108 model.
stick with it they are great cars. my other made has one the same a carlos s special edition and its between 360 and 400 bhp. a cossie killer

I had a gen 6 Gt4 and i can assure you it was not an overweight barge, 295bhp didnt hang around either

You could get a secondhand one for a couple hundred, or a hybrid from about 400 upwards.. they arnt as dear as people make out..

if its the roundish shape they are better.. about 205? bhp std?

hi, my mates thinkin of gettin one of these on a h plate, altho the car hes lookin at has a blown turbo,

does anyone know how much it would take to get a new either standard turbo, or replacement one, and would a used one from a breakers be dodgy?

rough estimates of price would be helpful

cheers lads.
