Yes.... the UNICHIP just takes the signals from the ECU and alters them acording to its map, hence piggy back. | |

You can get unichips all over the UK. If he has problems with the ECU fueling then this would help. If the fueling problem is not due to the ECU then the unichip would not help. | |

car went on the rollers at powerzone a few months back, standard 20xe only made 138bhp as the fuelling goes fubar at 5590 rpm - | |

The car would run n stuff.... but you will prob think the cams are pretty gay till you get them mapped etc | |

You will still need a std ECU. A unichip is a piggy back ECU like the superchips ICON race thing. | |

how much dollar for ARP rod bolts and a unichip then? If i get a unichip am i right in thinking i dont need a new standard ecu at all then? | |

Frstly, whats the goin rate for a standard second hand 20xe ecu? I think mines gone duff, so ive found one on mig for £50. |
