exactly the same apart from the "source" wire comes from your headunit and not an amp

how did you wire it up then if you were using the head unit not an amp?

nope you always use them it is so that each speaker deals with particular frequencies. eg so the tweeter doesnt try and cope with big bass frequencies.

erm.. does the speaker fit inside now?
you should have parts left over for the adaptor that you dont need

yes the crossover you wire both the tweeter and the speaker to it and the output from your amp (or headunit)

Right ok,
1. I have removed everything from the door. including the speakers
2. I put the adaptor in place wit the flat black plastic screw holes in place of the original and that plastic lip to hold it in place (is that right).

Question
with the xover do i wire the speaker to it and the tweeter to it? anything else?

I have exactly the same setup (i think).

I placed the crossover behind the black plastic (pocket). Half way along there is a gap behind which is enough for it to fit and taped it there.

the adaptors. did you do a similar thing? also where did you place the black terminal with the speakers (think its the crossover)

what the adaptors?
you just screw the main bit of the adaptor to the door?
or do you mean the speakers?

I have the infinity 655cs front components and i need to fit them. so i asked the bloke at halfords and he sold me sum 130mm (13cm) autolead speaker adaptors. are these wrong? im guessing they are.
