i decided on which car to buy on engine size alone. 13bhp swung the vote for me.

Yes, but a Corsa isn't a performance car so whatever way you look at it, 7bhp isn't guna make someone not buy it.

Oh god, look who's back.

A Corsa is an important car. It's one of the best selling cars in it's class.

It's a whole 9bhp though. That would be the equivilent of sticking 4 Greddy stickers on your door so I guess it's worth changing all the technical details of a car. I mean with that extra 9 bhp you could drive your car up a straight race tral 0.0000001 seconds faster!

If it was on something important then fair enough but on a Corsa..no one cares :)

I emailed parkers about why they were listing the 1.2 16v Corsa B Sxi as 64 bhp rather than the 75 which it has proven to be, why they're listing the Corsa C 1.2 16v Sxi as 73 bhp rather than the 75 thats supposed to be and how a 1.2 16v 5 door GLS (longer + bigger car) is faster than a 1.2 16v 3door both the normal 1.2 16v and the 1.2 16v Sxi with a close ratio gear box (lighter).

Their response to all this, was ... apparently the differnt variables like air temperature and wheel size, makes the difference between the corsa B sxi being 64 bhp and 75 bhp :boggle: and it was merely a more 'run in' engine than a standard one.

Riiiiight.
