na m8 windows update isnt much help cos it will only update new versions of the drivers you got, it wont search for the drivers that you need, if youve still got those cds that you got with your pc have a look on them for the drivers, XP also has alot wider range of drivers so have a look on the xp cd for some, if not then youl have to open ur pc and find out what make and model each hardware piece is (your - PCI and AGP slots) then download drivers from internet, any probs u2u me k m8

I assume everything is on-board, that is you have have a separate graphics card, sound card etc

Windowsupdate can help you out with some generic (one size fits all) drivers for some things, but it's better to get the proper ones.
So...

Take the side off the case and see if you can see what make and model the motherboard is. Even if you can't see a make there should be a blatantly obvious part number eg. FX-786 printed on somewhere. Put anything you get into google to identify which manufacturer it's come from

Go to their web site, they will have in their drivers + downloads sections all the different drivers you need for the different devices eg. video, sound. They should also have a big round up of all the drivers for the devices on that board, if not just download them individually.

If you have a separate graphics card then you need to do the same but obv suss out which manufacturer it came from :P
