ive already got that but it says the file is totally wrong eg, the size compared to the frame rate. If i play the svcd it plays full screen but like widescreen ie with black strips but if i play the mpeg it plays in a square and not wide screen. I think it is something to do with this but not sure what to do!!

Try a different mpeg2 decoder, also to convert to DVD you need an mpeg 2 encoder....

ive downloaded a mpeg 2 decoder.

basically ive extracted the actual video from the svcd now i want to covert it into dvd format. Any ideas? ive managed to convert video from vcds (mpeg 1) fine but the same method dont seem to work with mpeg 2.

try differant program? or has it worked before?

svcd is MPEG-2, you need a DVD decoder on your machine such as power dvd ect

Hi ive downloaded a movie in svcd format. Ive used a program to extract the mpg file so i can 1 - watch it on my pc and 2 - convert it into dvd format to burn.

When i try and play it on my pc it is not displayed correctly and i cant convert it into dvd format, it just keeps giving me error messages..

Any ideas? btw ive downloaded all the codecs etc.
