I would -- not much extra money if any on the premium -- but if you crash it's an easy way out of them paying...

...and believe me it happens -- when I claimed about 4 years ago they tried to tell me I hadn't declared alloys (this was my only mod at the time) and they wouldn't pay out... Turned out they had made a computer error when I added them...

Yes i can understand that but if its just a back box then then an exaust is an exaust.

How long does it take to change an induction kit ?

Jus my view on things.

koolkorsa

id of kept the spoiler instead of a backbox. Spoilers make the corsa look so much betta.

Kris TD

posted on 26th Nov 03 at 15:22

as for the spoiler, so many corsas came with them standard you could get away with it anyway, there was so many special editions, even dealer special editions etc..

Kris TD

well im with liverpool vic toria, all mods declared and they beat the price of everyone else before i mentioned mods by like 300 quid.

i pay 740 fully comp with zero no claims, im 20 on a kitted, lowered, rimmed iced etc... 1.5 td.

Makarus

With Liverpool Victoria I was told that as long as there is proof that the mods were on the car at the time of an accident then they will cover them without me having to declare them previously.

I dunno who you were ringing mae but you really weren't ringing the right people. Try Liverpool Victoria, HIC, CIS, GSI, Elephant etc. They should be able to give you decent quotes.

I am paying £1000 F/C on 1.2 8v Corsa B, R Reg, wheels, exhaust system, induction kit, head unit, components, sub, 2 amps, 2.0 16v brakes........all fully insured.

Or just don't declare them  not like it's major mods ffs if u had a crash u cud take spoiler and induction kit off within 10 mins anyway :|

i got told by liv vic that is it gets nicked or i wreck it all i have to do is show receipts or pics of the patrts and that will cover getting new ones.

yeah thats good for LV but not for you

pay all that money for your mod's then once you wreck your car & try to claim for them you only get the value of the std model corsa you have

Icy

Yesterday my insurance ran out.

I rang up to renue it, and to declare all the mods that i hadnt done so yet.

My insurer already knew that i had wheels, but when i said its been lowered, new back box, induction kit and a spoiler ( which has only been on 2 days ) they said, nah mate, cant insure you any more...

NOT AMUSED..

after ringing every insurance business in the yellow pages and told by every one of them that im wasting my time trying i gave up.

Then i decided to ring my insurer back for a compromise. Their compromise was that i can have mods, but ONLY 3..

I then had to choose my most important 3..

Wheels, Lowered, and then either exhaust or spoiler, and take off my induction kit,

If i took off my spoiler i would be left with holes....
If i took off the exhaust i would be left with a pee-shooter....

So, ive chosen to take off my soiler.. and now i will have holes, and no induction kit...

Would any one have made a different choice? Im well annoyed..... spoiler 2 days old and ive had to get rid of it.... it was a good paint finish too lol :(
