quote: At this point (4 years ownership Vs 6 months) I actually prefer my old Clio 182. I actually owned 2 and they were both silver! Although Racing Blue is my favourite colour.

Absolutely love the car already! So pointy with regards handling and the power delivery feels like a small turbo diesel as its responsive from way down in the Rev range.

You mentioned how many miles ago it was done, but not how long ago? Age is also a factor.

quote: It was more me that made an issue of the belts tbf. It was a prerequisite on the sale, if it hadn't had the belt done recently, I probably would have walked away, purely because I know the bloke wouldn't shift anymore on the price and I didn't have the £500 extra to get it done, which is what I normally do when I buy a car with a belt rather than chain.

quote: I'll admit from the list I've only had the lambda sensors fail on my, £60 for a Bosch part from ECP  I've done approx 44k in mine now and aside from a bearing getting noisy in the gearbox it has been near faultless

Why does everyone who buys a Clio feel the need to tell you when the belts were changed

I'm really looking forward to picking it up, since my BMW was written off and I decided to over to a smaller car, I toyed between the Clio and a Mini Cooper S. The Clio won the toss.
