Why is liquid to cool engine down referred to as coolant, but the pump is not called a coolant pump, it's a water pump ?

I say J reg if it was registered between August 1991 and July 1992 and J plate if it wasn't but carries a J plate.

Does anyone call a J reg a J plate, or a 65 plate a 65 reg? Why has it changed? |
