Quentin Wilson does warranties. Seen him in the telly. Think he comes round and fixes the car personally.

That makes sense. I'll get in touch with some of the companies and see what they say. I need to decide what car to get first

All depends on the car mileage etc its all dependant on different things if its an expensive car the warranty wont be cheap

quote: Surely working out if a warranty will be cheaper than fixing the car yourself is well worth looking at for a financial point of view and not just because I may or may not be able to afford to fix it. Thanks for the replies, if I did go ahead with one I will use a main company, just wasn't sure which ones people use but I'll check out the ones that have been mentioned. Any rough prices per year? I don't mind taking a risk with the repair bills but if a warranty looks good and isn't too much then it's definetly something to think about.

If its an M5 make sure the clutch is done else you'll need to splash out 1500 to get it done.

If you are worried about the cost of repair I would suggest you are dreaming that you can afford the car.

You dont need to get them repaired at main dealers though. Any VAT registered garage can do the repairs

I was given a warranty with a car purchase last year. I thought great, free warranty. I didn't actually need to use it but upon reading T&Cs, maximum claim was £1,000, which doesn't get you far at a main dealer these days.

Anybody have experience with car warranties? I'm after buying a car that could end up being costly if and when something breaks. The cars im looking at are 2007 with around 70-80k on them. |
