Originally posted by Ian £60pm is a different arrangement though? £60 less on a lease is basically the equity you're not putting in to it if you HP'd of GFV'd it.
Yeah it's kinda apple and oranges as it's a PCP which is £60 more expensive. That said, we're going to keep the car for X months then we're going to hand it back and get something else, lease or PCP is of little significance in that instance - so I don't mind comparing the monthly payments and basing it on that. After my visit to ford, even £250/month for the Corsa on PCP with the big wheels seemed an absolute bargain. Couldn't believe Ford are so far off the mark, even though the list price for an ST2 is pretty much the same as the Corsa VXR with the wheel options :boggle: Just goes to show I suppose, unless you're walking in with a wad of cash - the list price of a car is quite irrelevant. For what its worth, opinion of the Fiesta was a nicer exterior but the interior of the Corsa feels and looks nicer. Didn't bother driving the Fiesta, the guy at the dealership was quite quick to shoot us down when we told him what figures we'd been discussing with Vauxhall. He even built up the car with the usual "we've got 5 days to sell 15 cars so we're practically giving them away this weekend" and "that blue one outside has been there for 90 days and after 100 days we start paying interest so we're discounting it". A bit of coffee came out of my nose when he said it would be £340/month
