Its still around... was out last year for a round at Cadwell I think. Gobstopper II is just new and improved.

I have no idea if an Irish race licence is valid - you'd need to ask MSA/Time Attack.

You need a NonRace National B motorsport licence but its a simply form to fill out, can be done on the morningof your first event :)

What happened to Gobstopper I? I've only seen that thing in action once (Brands 2 years ago I think) and it was a savage piece of kit!

Adam, you going to compete this year?

Road car class would be so hard to keep 'fair'. Loads of stuff could be done while looking standardish

Thats a general rule - If you win the season you'll be expected to move / moved a class (if there is one!) for the next season.

BUT the 3 strikes rule works WithIn the season.

I.e you start round 1 in club and blitz the timing boards, and hump most of the folk in the class above - you get a strike.

The honourable thing to do at this point would be to realise your in the wrong class and ask to move up

But if you carry on in Club you'd better slow down or find yourself in the class above for the 4th round (assuming you get within 5% for round 1, 2 and 3)

There have been prototype classes most years Wrighty, so wouldnt think it would be news of an existing/old class.

I'm thinking something along the lines of a 'road car' class.

Seems to be the most demanded class, but in my eyes pointless. Why race a full fat car with all the shit in it

Yeah that's how it normally works I believe, if you win club you get bumped upto club pro for the following season, but the 3 strikes means you'd get moved up mid season because you're seen to be too fast for your current class.

What's the minimum age for this? Mate of mine spoke to me about doing it in an Evo 5 but I reckon I'd be too young.

Is Roger Clark's Impreza still in this?

If you post a time (at any time during a round) within 5% of the winning (or fastest) time of the class above (Club Class and Club Pro for example) you receive 1 Strike.

Receive 3 strikes and you get bumped up a class.

Its to try and get folk into the right classes, even things ups etc.

Example:

Jimmy McFucknuckle wins Club Pro Round 1 with a time of 1:35.00

In Club Class 4 people set times within 5% of that

Driver1 - 1:35.04 in Final
Driver2 - 1:36.55 in Final
Driver3 - 1:36.56 in Qualy
Driver4 - 1:38.20 in Final

Those 4 drivers would receive 1 strike, for round 1.

If they do this for the next 2 rounds they will be up a class come round 4.
