wil a epas rack and no motor be harder to fit than a normal manual rack? Also will the steering be heavier than a manual rack because of not using the motor?

If it faster lock to lock then the trade of is going to be harder to turn without assistance

what the advantages of an epas rack with no motor opposed to a manual rack?

iv got a c20let gsi lowerd to the floor on yoko a539's and its an unter cunt at low speeds with power steering, currently in the process of converting it to eps with the ajuster to make it more or less assisted.

Just get a late rack off a corsa fitted with epas. Its a quicker rack than the older corsa none pas ones.

yes mate.. exactley what you just said. The only down side is that the lock to lock turns on a corsa pas rack are less than a corsa none pas rack.
Im running a quaife quick rack on mine:thumbs:

There is a quick rack currently on ebay mate although mine is only 2.5 turns. but its right enough that mate

Would it be a case of just taking the old rack and power steering bits off and then bolting the new rack to the car? Never done a steering rack so don't know whats involved but i'll have plenty of space to work when the engine is out.

you'll have no problems with a none pas rack mate.. I dont. I've had a LET corsa both with and without and I prefer it without buddy.

Currently converting a corsa gsi and the power steering rack could do with replacing so not sure whether to bin the PAS altogether or keep it. Not bothered about having light steering for parking etc but do you get much trouble with tourque steer from a standard diff on a c20let engined corsa? any pros or cons for either having pas or not?
