There is no legal law they can inforce regarding speed on private grounds, any limit is a guidline only, u do not have to pay the fine, but if u dont they can ban u parking there, iv told u b4

Yeah, I was parked in a puddle, and my clutch slipped.

The speed limit is 10, but as I said, there are no signs visible in that area.

I reckon I was going no more that 20...its only a 1.2 and it WAS uphill.

in my college, they stick lil shitty pieces of paper, saying move it please- and dont park here again..i dont think u get clamped or fined, u just get banned for a week from college grounds- which includes lessons lol

Theres 2 signs painted on the road. I was in the carpark, where there are no speed signs.

The carpark is downhill, and the signs are painted at the top of the hill.

There is also no CCTV footage.

I'm glad I'm leaving this place now.

Bunch of fuckers not even allowing me to dispute it .

They can only do it if they have speed limits posted on the roads at uni, they cant just do you for it if they havent told you how they want you to drive.

Actually...thats a lie. 1 pint = £1.35 here.

That makes it about 20 pints ;)

Think so if the land actually belongs to college.

 we get clamped at college for parkin in the wrong bit, which means either a £25 fine or get the angle grinder from the workshop :D

Laney

I was given a fine not that along for driving at "unacceptable speeds" with in Uni grounds.

I went today to talk to the Estates manager, and her secretary said that I cannot dispute it, the fine stands and I couldn't even talk to anyone about.

Are they allowed to do this? :boggle:
