I gave them my home phone number which is about to be disconnected anyway

I think Confused is quite good, I've got very few phone calls when quoting for stuff. When someone has given me a call it's been the company direct who has offered a better price which is quite nice...

I think it was Swinton who sold mine to some spam agency. Constant debt management texts after that til I complained to O2 about it.

Colin, you might find that the excess shown is the highest of the two, as I expect Jade would pay a higher excess that you with the young person's excess thing... Thats what kills me on my insurance, as I'm 23, I would have to pay the initial £250 standard excess with the additional young persons excess of £250.... all on a car that VX would only give me £300 for in trade in!

I always put fake details into comparion sites then put correct ones in when I find somewhere with a quote I like.

...which then sell your numbers to some cunting agency so they can call you all day to offer you great insurance deals from companies who've already failed to do so. It's bollocks

And yes, I did tick the "DO NOT CALL ME" box. Better off with an small independant broker.

I dont get these comparison websites, they alll give different prices for the same details.

You should just be able to phone up say 'arite mate, M3 luvly, yeah im sound as fuck, 150 quid eh......magic, talk again next year xx' instead of playing the lottery on these daft websites.

It's normally 3 years, compar the market type sites normally ask for 5.

How good would it be if you could just buy insurance as easy as a top up for you phone!

Colin

Just checked my current excess & its £100 :|

Strange thing is im insured just now with the company thats giving me the best quotes now but with sky high excess.

Insurance is just a lottery, should be simpler to buy etc :|

Colin

I was hoping for 3yrs as it would be timing out soon, next year, as it stands i'll need to mention it until 2012 :|

I dont think my excess is that high just now, thats just what those crazy meercats slapped on without asking

And yet turning 25 and adding Kirst to my policy dropped it by almost a grand

Any motor accidents or claims in the last 5 years?* (how did I not read that?) Ah Cuntwarts :(

£610 - no Jade and no accident.

£703 - no jade with accident.

So its £100 difference with my wee bump mentioned, but with Jade added its £250 different........insurance makes no sense!! :)

Im not due for renewal for a wee while just looking around, I want to add Jade so she can drive my car.
Similar to mine with an accident in 07 too. I think it's 3 years for accidents and 5 for convictions from what I remember.

I've only got a £300 excess though.
