you can use any of the corsa transponders you just need to get the plug that comes with it, both are three pin, one is a triangle and one is 3 in a row..

the three in a row on wont work as it a single sensor unit and doesnt operate mechanically as it goes of a pulse inside the gearbox which the f20 doesnt have

you need to use the mechanical type that attaches to the external speedo drive!!

Do the later sensor work on the cut outs in the diff??? :boggle: if so that is fooking fanbloody tastic news for me :D

thanks guys

i would run cable again but it means buying new clocks and cable, drilling a hole in the back plate (firewall) for the cable to go through and taking out my cage to get the dash out!

Could you not just stick some mechanical clocks in and a speedo cable... job done?

Speak to Dave_B over on mig mate.

You need a transponder that you can buy from Autovaux and a 3pin round plug from a corsa gearbox.

It can be done and its relatively easy.

please dont move into help zone as no one has replyed.

does anyone run the electronic speedo rather than the speedo cable on a f20?

if so what speedo drive does the gearbox need as there are quite a few out there.,

after reshelling my car i have a electronic speedo and the wiring but not the sensor.

could someone tell me if its possible or will i have to switch to cable driven speedo

thanks james
