OK got a phone call from the bodyshop today.

Parts came to £350
Labour came to £600
VAT and something else brought the cost up to £1360.

Erm, no. Ain't payin that.

Took it to a local bodyshop, the guy has done work for me before, first class quality, and he wants between £450 and £500, for the same job.

Just shows - pays to shop around!!

The bodyshops going to get the parts I think. They have got a bumper and clusters lying around. They might be able tto get a tailgate from a guy they did a smooth boot for. He still has the "unsmooth" one kicking about.

The tailgate might be OK, but I won't know until the bodyshop can get it open.

Had a "wee bump" on saturday you see.

depends whether you get original GM parts or express facotors (non original) parts

New rear bumper
New rear panel (bit behind the bumper)
New rear quarter panel
Car put in a jig and straightened
Possibly a new tailgate, depending on damage.

Scott off here reckoned about £400 (without the tailgate at that time)
