cambelt and aux can be done for 390 quid most places | |

My aux belt needs done 15k ago and the cambelt will need done when its 5 years but i've been told not to even try doing it myself :( | |

VERY strange if you have coolant leaking from behind the timing chain gasket. The only water ducts behind there are ones in the head and the sleves of the combustion chambers | |

have you actually touched the timing? The alignment on the 1.0s and 1.2s is so precisce, a couple of mm out and you would be suprised how much difference it makes... If you have been running the engine upto operating temperatures while loosing coolant you may have cooked the head. Compression test and a block test would be a good start :) | |

So my corsa was losing coolant, narrowed it down to timing chain gasket. |
