ive got a policy with AA where i pay 5 pound a month extra and they pay fro all repairs on the car, except exhausts and tyres, up to value of 500 pounds, when my water pump went they paid for it minus the 25 quid excess, you can claim up to 5 times a year, ive used it 3 times in the last year so its paid for itself cos ive had 900 quid from them

I've got RAC cover and I could not fault them at all.

They come out themselves at all times of the night, even if your not driving
Also they came out to me just to give me an opinion on a headgasket failure :look:

rac one is including home start tbh i think im going with the halfords one as i just rang up rac to check that price of £85.99 as it was one a month ago and its gone bk up to £124

Is that the max cover, inc homestart etc?

I would opt out of home start. In the past I have reported a fault at a location more than a mile away from my house, then when they've told me what garage is coming out I've just rang the garage them and told them I'm at home. The garage doesn't mind as they're getting a job. Should save a few ££ :)

rac wanted £85.99
green flag wanted £115

They'll probably use a local garage/breakdown firm to recover your car. So yes, they'll act as a 3rd party in a sense.

You should be able to get a much better deal elsewhere I would have thought. You tried Green Flag, RAC etc?

i wonder if anyone can tell me what they are like, i know there are a few people on here that are with them, do they act like a 3rd party so like the rac comes out to you. thanks
