Or, you could do the typical young lad project bodywork car, a mk3 Polo Coupe.

Well both myself and a friend are looking to start working on cars without help of pros. With my uni work starting next year in computer programming and graphics (to make kits / custom work) before it goes onto the car and my friend doing an engineering qualification we shall start looking for our 1st project car towards the summer or Christmas this year.

The car will be kept on the drive or road side for awhile and not running as it will be worked on inside and out over a period of time. May even get broken if we do something wrong. But it's how we shall learn I’m sure.

In ways looking at a 1.6 or above. Something that can either be used as a show or a track car. Not to sure which yet.

Anyway, been looking at some cars and long debates around which cars are nice for a 1st self project car.

Some on the list so far - CRX, Nova, Corsa gsi, 205 about it atm.

Any tips or ideas would be great
