Surely connecting it up to the battery negative would do the same job if not better.

Well put the bulb in but dont wire it.

Have you tired earthing the balck wire to bare metal and the red wire to the +?

yes, this could be done,
was thinking of that, but I also tried splicing into sidelight wiring loom and still got no lights on HALO rings..

Plus if you do this, you get an empty looking hole on the lights, where the sidelight bulb should be.

when i bought these, i ditched the side light and wired the red and black to the side light loom instead.

The red to + and black to the -, yeah they will.

can anyone confirm tho, surely if I connected the two wires, direct to the battery, the HALO rings should light up?...

Tbh you'll just have problems with them. Best off punting them and buyin the ons on the blue corsa, even if you get them to work they'll keep popping.

I know its not ideal but it'll save you time and pissed offness in the future.

and you cant remove the sidelight bulb and connect up the HALO ring wires to it, as if you see in the first pic, it has a space for the sidelight at the top (above indicator)
So it means you'd have to splice into sidelight wiring.. Thats if the things worked anyway!

Its these ones here.
In the second pic down, you can see the wires, small red and black ones coming out of bottom of each light unit.

Which angels are they?

Like this?

or like this?

^^^ cos these tend to blow more easily than an Essex girl during cricket week.

I have tried this and I dont get anything from either of the angel eye rings.

Just for test purposes, I connected the two wires coming off the back of the angel eyes, directly to the battery (trying both terminals with both wires) and I did not get any of the HALO rings to light up...

Surely if I connect them direct to battery, they should light up?

all u do is cut the plug off the wires for ur side lights and connect the wires from the back off the angel eyes to the wires, the wires only work 1 way, tr switching them round or something

Yeah, they connect to the sidelights.

To anyone who has them or fitted them-

Do the rings tend to go easily?
What are the red & black wire hanging off the bottom on the back of the headlight (presume for the angel eye ring must be?) and surely as the side lights/headlights work fine but not the ring so i connected the red & black wire direct to the battery but this hasn't made them light up on either headlight, are they faulty or am I doing something wrong? :boggle:
