Still don't know the price of it, only heard of it, might not even be for sale. Just seeing if would be worth even finding out who owns it. Hopefully I can go and see it tonight, shall see what Shaun is doing.

dependant on price go for it, You can get a decent car for £500, my 1.4 sri with 62k miles was only £500 with tax and mot.

Anything more is just pointless. You can buy ok complete ones for about 1k.

To get that bucket back on he road in tip top order is going to be more than that.

Oh aye, forgot to mention Ive got a huge stack of corsa bits off shaun's that I could nick If i got it

Haha, theres about 3 XEs sitting in our shed, could drop one in

Still need to find out whats wrong with it though, if its only the engine, then I would most likely get it, but If its loads of things, fuck it.

Hi,
Heard that theres a shagged 1.4 Sport close to me, but bodywork perfect, but head is gone, needs brakes, suspension etc etc.

Need to find out who owns it first, and Ill need to get a look at it too, all I know about it so far is:

  1. Its been off the road for ages, maybe 2 years
  2. Bodywork is OK
  3. Needs new head gasket, probably loads of other engine work too
  4. Most likely needs new brakes and shocks
  5. Its dark green, so I assume Nataluis (sp?) green
  6. Needs new interior too

All this is yet to be confirmed, shall investigate more fully before I do anything.

If I got it really cheap, rekon it would be worth it? Ive got 10 months till I can drive anyway, so it would leave me loads of time to get her sorted and looking good, and Ive got a stack of bits here from Shaun's Corsa, and the fact he's a grease monkey, he can help with bits I cant do

Anyway, If its totally badgered, Ill give it a miss, will see what happens.

    Chris
