considering its possibly a standard engine thats not bad for an old xe

i doubt it would make i loose power. when i bought it i was told its got a chipped ecu and thats it. to be honest im still please with it but i was kind of expecting more from it

Spoke to Dave today (Ritch's brother) and he said that he's sure its got piper cams, enlarged tb, chip with raised limiter. Would the valve stem seals leaking have made it lose any power?

finally put my car on the rollers today and it made -

82mph @ 6976 rpm
161.7hp @ 6712 rpm
153 ft-lbf @ 5039 rpm

the only mods i no it has for definate is a green cotton filter, de-cat and full system.i was told chipped ecu but im not sure anymore?

the opperator doesnt think i have uprated cams unless there really mild as the power comes in from the begining and doesnt drop off much through out!! im really pleased as it now gives me a target to beet with my new engine and im seriously considering running it on bike carbs.

my car on the rollers -

the results -

the video of the power run (please ignor the smoke! the valve stem seals leak at high revs and they took it to 7k rpm ) -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVN3e479UMw
