Originally posted by Dave A what are the requirements for danish mot as far as inlets? my engine is better for emmissions with the aftermarket management and tb's fitted than it was at standard!
The Danish MOT's are insane! :o Basically you are not allowed to do anything! At one point it was illegal with an open air-filter...like PiperX and K&N :! You are not allowed to do any 'chip-tuning' (remapping) at all. Mine is also better for emmissions after my remap (the way it runs now)...but it's not legal. Until last year you were allowed to do conventional tuning (ported head, cams, etc.) on the original block. But today this is also illegal if you increase the HP by more than 20%. Eye-lids on the head lights are not allowed. You may not lower the car to much (minimum 50 cm to head lights). You are not allowed to increase the circumference of the wheels by more than 5% (so it's almost impossible to fit 17"). The ET of wheels may not be decreased by more than 10 mm per side. Etc. etc. etc....the list is very long! Sad but true! On the other side we are so fortunate only to pay 180% tax on our cars! So the price is almost 3 times higher than in Germany or Sweden :P Think my Corsa would go for around £+6000.
