u can allways take out a days insurance for 10 quid from dayinsure.com | |

most companies switch it while you are on the phone. Ive never had a problem. that way you can be covered for the journey home then ring them tell them you didnt end up buying the new car and to switch the policy back over. (as they will usually give you 7 days to pay the extra) | |

Cheers Dave. I'm not bothered about losing the no claims as I'm on year 10 anyway :). Cancellation fee I undertand and I should get a couple of months cost back. | |

ring insurance company, tell them to switch policy to the new car, drive home, cancel policy, get new policy with the cheaper company. job done. you could lose that years no claims bonus and have to pay a cancellation fee though | |

Can someone explain the score with having insurance for one car say a corsa then going to buy another car from a dealers one day (second hand) with the possibilty of p/x and driving back a fair distance. |
