nah, put a gd drive in both and the 16v will win every time ;) if you know where the power is then you know how to use it when you pull away.

as marklawton says the 8v is quicker off the line but wen the 16v kick in the 8v get left bhind a little, iknow cuz ive raced loads of sri's in my 1.4 sport

Has anyone got any sound/vid clips of a 16v sport engine? (standardish, eg no TB's!)

standard the 16v is quicker, 8v is 82hp and 16v is 90hp

however the 1.4 8v single point injection engine is something daft like 60hp

get some tb's on the 8v and its quicker :)
alltho the 16v engine sounds really pokey in standard form,

Less sensors to go wrong, the 8v is just more reliable in general tbh.

depends, are we talikng completly standard?? then the sport is no dubt quicker, but in my opinion the 8valve is a farelly strong engine

is the corsa sport 1.4 16v much quicker than the corsa 1.4 8v,or is there nuthing much in it
