An enlarged throttle body involves more than just removing the wedge. It involves maching outer the throttle4 body and then manufacturing and fitting a bigger diameter butterfly. This allows more air in, more air and more fuel in should equal more power!

The later XEs never had this wedge and they make the same power so choose your own conclusions. The wedge is there to make the car more drivable.

Apparently it gives you 5bhp, or maybe 10bhp. It's in the same league as fitting an induction kit and thinking you have an extra 10bhp because thats what it says on the box. But in just a sceptic.

liquid metal is very stong you can drill and tap it once set, i can not see it breaking up and falling into the engine.

A dremal doesn't even cut plastic very will so have fun cutting a large chunk of aluminium with one and liquid metal will break up and get into the engine....

they remove the "wedge" from the butterfly, giving better flow when throttle is wide open
