i can fit an engine for you, any type of engine is no problem for meh.

So what about the A/C system? Can that easily be disconnected and reconnected on the new engine?

Also, if I got an X14XE from a Corsa/Tigra, would I need to get the ECU as well, as the inlet manifold is different on the Astra version of the X14XE (or as cybermonkey likes to call it the X14XEL)... :o

Ive got a mate who is selling a 1.8 (c18xe) with ecu box everything for £150.

I've been told the engine has to be stripped down to change the seals and rings, and that it would be cheaper to get a new engine?

There filddily but relatively easy jobs to do compared to engine change.

How much would it cost roughly to fit a new engine?

Basically I think either the valve stem oil seals or piston rings are fucked in my Astra, and I've been told it'll be cheaper to get a replacement engine?

Also, would it cost more to do because my car has air conditioning?

It's an X14XE engine by the way. I've seen them for sale on here for about £200 on average, I'm guessing getting someone to fit it for me would cost a lot? :(
