i had the engine steam cleanede the other day, and the bottom of the gearbox is as it was:mad: just the back of the engien is hard to see behind! will have a look tomorrow. i wouldnt mind a bit leaking, but my drive is like a bloody cole mine! :lol:

My crank sensor seal used to leak but thats at the front of the engine?

is there a crank case breather pipe going to the back/bulkhead side of a c20xe? there is on a c16xe mine was p1ssing oil out of there....

torque settings in the book

i do everything by what setting it says!

also use genuine vaux stuff

i might have the same problem , but i was thinkin i over tightened the sump plug and f*cked the cooper washer ???

my 14XE was leaking from the filler cap :boggle:

taped it up with electrical tape :D

i cant see it leaking that much, mine has a leak, about a 5p sized blob after 2 weeks standing still, i dnt worry about it

andy just get the gunk outy an clean all the block, box, everywhere and then run the car and see where the oil comes from

courtney charged £300 to change the oil pump gasket :! :! :!

cnuts!


there are two gaskets for the oil pump, not particularly difficult to do, just time consuming as you need the manifold off and sump off (annoying if you just did sump gasket! :lol: )


sounds like you having the same problems as mine fella, you will get there in the end & its worth it trust me...

we made sure the bolts werent tighten up loads, put some seal on the gasket too. how hard is it to do the oil pump?

rocker gasket if you have over tighten the bolts
OIl pump seal mine leaked there at it look like the engine was leaking from the rear

right, these are the things which i have replaced:

sump gasket
dizzy seal
driveshaft seal
End cap of the gearbox
rocker gasket

the leaks are coming from the gearbox again, but not the end cap, its the next section along (dont know what its called, ANYONE??) and another leak coming from behind the engine, and leaking down the back of the sump, cant see where tho....any ideas what could be leaking behind there?
