i have tried lookin at other cars but i always get drawn bk 2 the old trusty corsa so i mite aswell buy one or il prob jus regret it...;)

Although as I remember Tesco had N640 down as a 1200 so check them....

wow!! wuz just readin it b4 u posted the link... gud job but a shame tho aint it! he offered me the car when it was fully modded for 2k in peppermint green... if only it was the dark green it was previously i wud have took it in seconds

Indeed they are. Tesco.com etc. will ask for a reg plate first and its often quicker doing that than going through their car picker pages.

SRi and Sport are both in the same group but insured value would be different so you might see a difference there. Having said that some insurers rate older cars a bit higher as they're more likely to be a total loss and are "easier to steal". They're not as they both use the same locking system but I've heard that in the past when I changed from an N reg to an R reg - there was actually a decrease because the R reg was more modern and thus they thought more secure. It wasn't, same parts in the doors. Just them guessing.

Spend some time in the online quote systems and run a few sample cars through there.

If you need cars to try -

N26CKC is a 1.2 LS
L711DNC/M131WEM are both 1400 8v SRi
N640DKA is a 1400 16v Sport
R960LCB is a 1.2 Breeze (LS with extra bits)

thats class... would the be a huge differant in insurance?
its not easy findin a 1.4ls thats half decent, id like 1 coz ther low on insurance and will be quicker than a 1.2

ive got a 1.4 sport an mines fully comp

It wasnt for me but insurance companies are making prices higher now,read the insurance threads on here an dont tell me to shut up :P

my first car was a 1.2 corsa, when i was 18 it cost me £600 a year!
then i bought a 1.4 sri when i was 18 too and it cost me £840! :rolleyes:

Get a nice Mk3/4 golf 1.4CL .. reliable, nippy, cheap to insure and can look tidy..

ive had no luck in buyin a car....

im lookin 4 a first car and have been for about 2 months...

i have aprox 2k to spend on a car...

cant afford high insurance so gotta get small insurance...

any suggestions on differant types of cars??

want somin smart!:thumbs::boggle::thumbs:
