there is a black bottle found at the front of the engine on the left hand side next to the radiator.

This will need to be filled, but i feel that you have more of a problem if it has stopped working.

Pump, Rack, pipes split.

Worth investigating.

Look in the manual, it probably needs some fluid

Check the belt might be loose or broken. Look for some pulleys without a belt on it :)

Hi guys,

My friend owns a renault 19, which is one of the last production lines before the megane was made.

It has powersteering, and on the way home his power steering stopped working and now the steering is almost unusable...its terrbily stiff.

Is there a fluid that needs topping up? What can we look at to get the powersterring back>?

Any help is apriciated.
