We get asked this every week i reckon. Right, MOT regs say that the car has to be accessible from the outside incase of an emergency (or something along them lines), the way i got around it was to take my door windows out! Cos there is no law saying that you have to have door windows, that way the car is always accessible from outside, just reach in and open form the inside door handles lol, the guy at the MOT station just chuckled to himself and didnt know what to say lol. Loophole in the system!!!
As for door solenoids, one either side is fine, i always had the drivers door rigged to my clifford alarm fob and the passenger side rigged to a button inside the car, then always have a backup button hidden somewhere on the car incase you lock your keyfob in the car, a good place i found for thids is hidden under the wheel arch or in a rear fog light built into the bumper etc. Hope this helps mate.
Cheers
Rich

according to max power - your car will FAIL an MOT without having door handles.... just a thought

i would put a switch under the wing mirror, tvr style, heard too many things about doors not opening..

and if you want to get technical a manual means of opening the doors from the outside would be needed for the MOT eg a pull cable inside the wheel arch or somthing

you need a really good set of solenoids and then either switches hidden somewhere or get it hooked up to your alarm fob.
