vauxhall havent got the best reputation for cambelt bearings etc anyway so its best to change them. | |

Ah, yea, thats what could happen. Was just trying to figure what could go wrong if the pump were to fail... Didn't think of that :thumbs: Thanks :) | |

yeah pump belt and all guide and tensioner. basically if something seizes and the belt breaks its head off and head rebuilt etc | |

you will deffo need a new water pump if the conversion is from a non 2litre car | |

I also take it that it is highly advisable to change the water pump before doing a conversion? As it is quite painful if these break... Engine uses the early type timing system... | |
