I did the Nat Cert & have just finished my 1st year on the HNC :)
College is wank, but once u have got the Nat Cert u should be looking around £15-20k
Have a nosey around on a couple of construction recruitment websites, it gives u an idea of what jobs are out there & also what cash :)
As a qualified QS in house building in my area I would be looking at £30k+ :D

Trade jobs seem to be the way forward these days if your young and not frightened of hard/long work and perhaps taking a gamble and starting on your own......my boss is evidence of this......multi multi millionaire, I am a surveyor and yes the tradesmen make more than me!:|

good money in surveying when your qualified isn't there? Plumming can be decent money if you go alone but everyones clued up and gone into work like that so you NEED to be good and build up your contacts - running your own business also has risks
