I've no idea! I would prob think around £40 tho. I need to measure it properly and then i can work it out. I'll do that tomorrow and have a think because i think it will be cheaper to piece the carpet together at the beginning of the hall where it is hardly walked on.

If your coming from Cheshire then that's around 25 miles i think so bearing in mind the cost of petrol too.

Andrew

I went to a shop and they said £2.30 a sq meter. The carpet i was looking at was on £4 a sq meter so...

Just had a quick look and the hall is about 7 metres long and 2 metres wide

The floor it's going on is concrete which has those crappy tiles on. It's a dead easy job, i'll even do the underlay myself cause i can't really fuck that up. I would like the fitter to put the gripper things down though as my drill is fucked with my dodgy DIY skills

The carpet will be plain with just the odd pattern in -- i.e the one i fancy has the odd leaf in it.

If someone wants the job they can do it whenever they have chance, i'm not really in a hurry.

I'll check back later to see if anyone wants the job on here. If no U2Us or reps i'll get someone out of a local paper.

Cheers guys

The fitters in the shops cost to much. All my mates still live at home or in student places so all they need to know is the price of booze and petrol

Can get the carpet in the back of my car, it's only a small area i'm covering.

Not sure where i'm getting the carpet from yet. There are loads of place around here with sales on. Not sure whether to get it tomorrow or on Monday, see how i feel

Will cost a bit to much from a shop, infact as much as the carpet a sq metre. Will phone a few ppl in my local paper if no-one on here wants the job.

Ally, as i said, i don't wanna fuck the carpet up by doing it myself. Gonna be paying around £100 for the carpet and that underley stuff so...

I want to get a carpet this weekend for my hall because i've never got around to it  Anyway, i need someone to fit it for me once i've got it and wondered if anyone can do this. I don't wanna fuck the carpet up myself as money is becoming tight at the minute due to it being MOT, TAX and insurance time at the end of June.

Obviously i am prepared to pay someone for doing this and should only take them 20 minutes.
