thats why i went for a 1.4 conversion, although if i declare the mods it will prob be more than a 1.6 anyway

If you are going to do it, why not just go for a x16xe? Similar cost to the 1400 Sport engine and that extra bit of power.

Theres tuning parts for both out there, but you can obviously get more out of a 1400 16v.

My car is a 1400 8v rally prep'd engine pushing 142 BHP whereas I know of a guy with a 1400 16v rally prep'd pushing out 190ish BHP

This is seriously costly though.

it will be cheaper to buy an mpi engine, they probably only cos about 50 quid if you get one from a nova sri

rite, the old mans asked me bout this, and he wants 2 convert mine to mpi....... but iv told him for the same price i could prob get a sport engine so. can i have some cost prices of converting 2 mpi or converting 2 a sport engine?
