some times u can copy a scratched cd and the copy works fine

have ya really just been given a serial and want a copy of the cd for free? sounds more like it to me :)

ive rang them and they wont coz theres no proof that i havent actually still got a working copy and therefore sell/give the new copy to someone..

Sounds like the best idea, no point trying to obtain a pirated copy if you have a legit one already :thumbs:

You could get hold of Windows support and if you can supply them with a valid serial number that relates to you then they will send you a copy :D

It will take a few hours at least, i've got the CD on my hard disk and it's over 700Mb.
