Don't build your own unless you can source parts very cheap. I'm confident doing it but would have saved very little and wasted a load of time faffing about with stuff.

and as for ram and mb etc. Ram is basically the memory the computer uses when using programmes. So the higher the better. Key to a good system is lots of ram and a fast processer. Then things like hard drive - is just a matter of much u think u'll need, but 80gb is plenty. Dvd rw is a nice feature to have. So looks like a good package. Maybe wortt upgrading to the 17'' monitor tho.

get the 600quid one then upgrade the ram to 512. will cost u 30quid to do. So worht the saving. I know the more expensive one has a betta processer but the difference is negligable.

Am i right in thinking Ram is how quick the comp would be, and MB is how much stuff it will store??? lol prob a stupid question!!!

Avoid pc world if you can, im not keen on their attitude. If i was you id be wanting a 17" screen, rest sounds good tho.

I am looking for a new computer for myself, but don't really know where to get the best deal. Ideally, i want to pay monthly as i can't afford to pay full up front! |
