they need details because every month you get a statement to email..Say for sellers fees etc and they will take this off your card or account..My months bill was £5....For all the stuff I sold......Take it right off my vise card..But they can be trusted not heard any bad stories...This is a large world wide organisation..

bank details are only to prove that its u mate. they never take money out of ure account.sort of like a age check!

i dont wana give my main bank details to them but i have a old bank account

yes i would say it's safe iv'e been using e bay for about a year now buying and selling.you do get people messing you about sometimes and not paying but you can claim your selling fee back.they always ask for your card details to open your account this is just untill they set your direct debit up
