Can't wait to see that when it's finished. Will look interesting. Will it be for use as a trailer or just for a show item?

I'm making it out of the rear of a corsa shell. I will be paying someone to do the welding ill be doing the rest

Being able to weld is pretty important for a trailer. Get an arc welder and practice on scrap. When it sounds like bacon cooking in a frying pan you've got a good weld going, just make sure you learn to get penetration through the work piece.

I wouldn't bother trying until you know how to weld. Consequences could be bad haha.

It's not a difficult thing to do anyway.

Get a decent auto mask save flipping it up and down

Might be easier rather than chopping the front off the frame keep the bed and modify it. That way the channel is solid right through and you've already got the emergency brake etc attached.

What's it need to carry?

I thought it would be easier to cut the A frame off and weld complete onto the shell I'm using.. not that I can weld so trying to save as much as possible.

Don't know where you're located lad but should be able to find something similar from a different caravan breaker

If you building it yourself anyway why not just knock it up from some channel and a hitch?

Right I need the front A frame bit of a caravan or trailer. I'm building a custom trailer and I need the bit of frame with the towing hitch on.

Doesn't matter what it comes off a caravan or car trailer as long as I have the frame and hitch.
