once your old engine is out, it would be a case of bolting your gearbox and metal/rubber mounts on

connect fuel pipes/exhaust

its a corsa wiring loom, so plug it all in, remove the kick pannel below dash, remove old ecu, connect up 8 wires (colour for colour, all labeled anway)

and thats about it (you wil need a mpi fuel pump if your car doesnt have one, but that just slots into the fuel tank)

C16xe 151bhp for sale

Hi, My mate was splitting his rally car, so I ended up buying his engine.. So my other engine is now for sale.

Bought it at the end of 2006 with supposedly 40K miles on it with the cams, head, mantzel (no proof of milage, but all the water pipes/oil ways etc were spotless)I Cleaned/painted it, fitted new manifold/rocker/sump gaskets, and fitted to my car early 2007.

Winter 2007 saw some more modds and a wee rebuild (just because it was out the car)

Spec as it stands:

C16xe
Stage 2 gas flowed c16xe big valve head (getting rare)
Valves lapped and new stem seals fitted
Piper BP270 cams
Cam pulleys painted red
Mantzel inlet plenum/powerbox
Gm pistons with valve pockets deepened (using sbd’s dimensions) to accept bigger cams in the future (new piston rings)
Arp Con rod bolts
New shells/con rod bearings.
Lightened and balanced bottom end
Alloy sump
Flat lighter flywheel with new Sachs heavy duty clutch
Std 4-2-1 manifold and down pipe
New water pump, timing tensioner, idler rollers and belt
Mantzel chipped ECU with 7.3K rev limit
Wiring loom (Feed wires have labels on them saying what they are)
Flame red rocker cover with Custom alloy spark plug cover
Custom small oil cap painted black
Stainless crank case breather
Cone filter
Most hoses needed to fit to a nova
Flat multi rib type lower pulley, belt(spare new belt included) and multi rib altenator

NOTE: Doesnt have V-pulley altenator or loweing bracket.(I will include V-belt lower pulley, and mounting bracket for a V-pulley altenator if you wanted to fit one)
Gearbox and linkage not included

Since buying ive done 5k miles (3K since the rebuild)

Got it rolling roaded at a migweb rolling road day (I got biggest percentage power increase, and car of the day:

Made 151bhp @ 7224 rpm, 118.9 lbft @ 5897rpm
It was making power right up to the redline, and raising the rev limit further would result in more power.

This engine really is like new, everyone thats seen it/drove it comments :D

A few pics of the rebuild:

Pistons:

Fitted with ARP conrod bolts:

Flat type flywheel (lighter than std pot type)

Then new sachs clutch, release bearing and box bolted to block.

Setting the timing, and bolting everyting back on with new seals, gaskets, bolts etc.

Looking for £800 (i paid more than this for the engine, and have spent alot of money on it since)

I work shifts, so may not get back to you straight away:wave:

Located near Oban, postcode PA38
Could possibly deliver within scotland for fuel money:)
