I don't get enough time to enjoy, drive or do things to my Corsa any more so it's time to bite the bullet and sell it.

1993 (L plate) Corsa Merit that has been converted to a 1.8 16v (C18XE) engine from a Mk3 Astra GSi.

Not a typical thrown together smokey old "redtop", it's been done to a decent standard I'd say. It was never built with show and shine in mind as I'd rather be driving than polishing but, as you can see, it scrubs up not too bad.

7 months MOT (expiry 26 April 2015)
No tax (expiry 30 September 2014)

Shell/Bodywork:
65K mile 1993 3-door Merit Shell in flame red
Early Merit spec so the tailgate does not have a rear wiper as standard meaning no problems with a rusty wiper hole.
Post 97 Flame red bumpers and mirrors
Tigra Scuttle Panel
Badgeless Grill
New windscreen, new fuel tank, new handbrake cables, new speedo cable, new rear cylinders, new heater matrix, new replacement badges all round
A few stone chips a couple of very small blisters of surface rust
Underneath is solid, Chassis rails welded for last MOT then seam sealed and coated with hammerite.

Engine:
C18XE from 1994 Astra 1.8 GSi with unknown mileage
Recent timing belt, rollers and water pump
Registered and insured as a 1.8 with everything declared

Engine Modifications -
inwardly rolled subtle stainless steel backbox
Standard cat connected to straight through centre section (still passes emissions test)
K+N Cone air filter
Magnecor 8mm silicone HT leads
Denso spark plugs
Secondary fan wired to a switch as backup. No problem with standard fan, it still kicks in as it should.

Gearbox and drivetrain-
Approx 80k mile F18
GTE driveshafts, hubs use standard Corsa bearings

Suspension/handling -
Bilstein Yellow front shocks with -60mm front springs correctly matched to the heavier C18XE
Bilstein Yellow rear shocks and -80mm springs
Corsa GSI rear ARB
Cavalier rear ARB (does the same as a Whiteline rear ARB just a hell of a bit cheaper)

Wheels –
14" Astra GTE alloys with 195/60/14s all have 5/6mm+ (2 x Nexen on the front, 2 x Avon on the rear)

Brakes -
Red Dot 256mm grooved discs.
Mk3 Astra GSi calipers.
Ferodo racing spec pads
Goodrich braided hoses front and back
dot 4 fluid
new rear brake cylinders and shoes

Interior -
All sound deadening and the majority of trim removed
late Mk3 Astra GSi Recaro seats
Corsa sport clocks
5 speed knob
Tigra height adjustable subframes on both sides
2 x Black 3 point Securon harnesses
Opel Astra 200iS steering wheel
Sport black carpet and door cards boot carpet is grey
Glove box from a GLS
Irmscher door pins

Ice/security -
No Stereo / CD player (all wiring plugs still there though)
DIN sized storage cubby fitted from Mk4 Astra
Vauxhall factory fitted alarm
