I invested in some part worn 195/45/16s this morning, and who did I meet?
Nathans bro!! lol, you two look quite similar!

But took a quick pick with the new tyres on when I was leaving work:

I think it looks a lot better! So thanks for the tip guys! Needs lowering even more now! lol

Also got everything balanced and tracked at the same time Steve!
Better safe than sorry!

Hmmm i may invest in 195/40/16 before attempting an arch roll session see if it helps

5mm lol
nah 40 is nt much diff just smaller obviously, with a slight stretch, looks the danglies and less scrubbage

Whats the difference between the 40 and 45??

Also get the tracking & balancing done ASAP as that's the mistake i made once, not fun changing a 16" wheel for a 13" spare realising they won't fit on the 2.0 discs in the rain, not fun at all, that is all :|

Correct! lol
What sort of tyres should I be looking at? As these should be all worn out in a month or two!

Are they 205/50's then? That'll be why they look huge

supremefaulk

posted on 31st Mar 09 at 23:20

Your right, they do look huge! lol, but they will do for a while!
They are 16"
Still not 100% sure on them myself yet, but think its a definate improvement from the gsi wheels that were on there!

I will nip it over to a tyre place in the morning then, see what they can do!
They are et45 if I remember correctly!

tyres are 205 mind! Is that wheel specific? Or can I get 195s put on somehow?

What size are they Kris? I think they look a bit big to be honest, but it may be the tyres?

As for the wobbling, yea that'll probably be balancing.

The extra feedback will probably be wider wheels - what offset are they?

Haha, after buying them on here at the start of January, problems with DHL losing 2 of the wheels and not seeming to care, then a rounded locking wheel nut key, my wheels are finally on!!!

Car needs lowering now though!!

But having extra feedback through the steering wheel for some reason, seems to wobble a bit at 50+ mph, would this be a balancing and tracking job? No buckled alloys as far as I can see!

What you rekon?
