ive never seen it done on a clio, wouldnt imagine its possible tbh but google it and give it a try | |

i was gonna do the paperclip test but carnt find the ports to do it as i thaught that it may be able to be done like a vauxhall or a honda i manage to do it on my corsa and my civic | |

also, same will apply for the imobiliser, apart from it will have an infra red key and may need re-asigning to the imobiliser ( done with rx-32 diagnostic machine ) altought the phase 2 ( crease in the center of the bonnet) runs a can-bus system and can be accessed with any generic code reader | |

got my fingers crossed could i posably change the sensers over and change the crank shaft sensor im just opening to all options lol | |

yeah.. a tdc sensor is the same for any engine, lets the injection computer know where the crankshaft is in relation to the firing order, sets the spark off at the right time. if the coils inside the sensor are broken or the conectors have become corroded, the resistance becomes too high and the computer can't tell where the pistons are, so doesnt fire a spark | |

my big problem is im not familier with renault or pug ext my main knolage is on vauxhall and this clio is causing me a big problem as im truly lost il check all of those tomorrow if i can get hold of a vault meter lol got my fingers crossed for it and the clio is a 51 reg the one with the face lift front bumper and head lights | |

take it off the car and hold a multimeter set to read resistance across both terminals ( recomended to replace the conector and part of the wiring loom aswell as the conectors can go green with corosion and cause a high resistance) | |

it will be the immobiliser there a cunt to start u just have to get they key familar with the car because im assuming you have had the battery off | |

check your tdc sensor, resistance should be around 700 ohms, if its up in the thousands or reads 0, its fooked. | |

its 1.2 8v imobiliser light seems fine and cable seem fine :/ | |

Clio 2? What engine? TDC sensor and loom are common. if its the 1.4 petrol, theres a metal block at the back of the engine with a block conector underneath, that can rub through the cables and cause all sorts of problems. imobiliser also cuts off the spark, check the imobiliser light is going out | |

hi all i recently bought a clio for the misses, the head went so we have changed the engine everything is fine other than there is no spark to allow the car to fire. tried changing the spark plugs coyl pack and ht leeds but still no spark! has anyone got any ideas on what it could possibly be |
