Does it have an induction kit on? V6 is designed to run warm. Sucking hot engine bay air into the inlet, through an open filter could affect its performance???

got a mark 2 astra with a 2.5 v6 redtop engine in it, problem is runs mint when cold for about a minute, soon as it gets hot it lags and looses power, its as if its chokeing on petrol, any 1 got an idea what it could be ? thanks:thumbs:
