Originally posted by liam-corsa-1400 so ppl wat dose everyone think about a corsa sport meet some time and anyone got any sugestions on were to go?
about 5 years ago, meets in this region were good and regular, now they are none existant and theres reasons for this. every couple months someone has the great idea of having a meet, so we have a 5 page post on all the possible places to have it, with many arguments, until somewhere is decided. Whereever is decided, at least one person will say its too far south, one will say its too far north, and half a dozen people cant get that day off work so want it the next day. You will however have a lot of people who are 'well up for it' and will get another couple pages of everyone saying they'll definately be there, cant wait etc. Then comes the day of the meet, you'll be stood in a cold, windy car park for about an hour before one, maybe 2 other pretty standard corsas turn up, often one has brought their mate in a chavved up saxo for example, 5 minutes of awkward conversation about each others alloys and how cold it is, then you all bugger off hom to post pics of the 3 cars on cs and everyone makes their excuses about how 'something just came up'.....NE meets dont happen
