could be a sticy valve

but do each bolt 1/4 turn at a time, so tightening each one 3 times from hand...

so...

hand tight all in sequence
quarter turn all in sequence
quarter turn all in sequence
quarter turn all in sequence

use the sequence in the haynes manual

oh and as for torque settings for the headbolts... its bollocks...

do to hand tight & then 3/4 turn each headbolt in sequence, is enough!

adam... very simple job! done it 4 times on my old one :lol:

will give you a hand over a weekday or a saturday when i can if you want??

will need new locating dowels for the block/head from vaux, and some other bits & bobs!

ill do the same :lol:

oh and need tip's for changing a headgasket on a 1.4 8v?

Have you tried going into admin tools and services and then stopping all the Norton Services? What error message are you getting?

I was going to tell you to post a screen dump of the error message but then realised you cant:lol:
