mine is only 2 1/4 inch too :o

there was a noticable differance in performance from having a 1.4 system on with a cat that was fucked and glowed up bright orange all the time lol

Okies, ashley full exhasut system inc manifold. you might have to ask them and take your car to them as they dont make a De-cat. I swear by ashley, never had a problem with them at all and my old system is on a corsa GSI atm.

Give them a ring or find there wedsite for prices. People will no doubt reccommend other tuning companies, but for power:£££ you cant compalin

Improvement in power is what i want.
Give me some prices then for the performance side of things then? which is what i am after not looks (except the backbox). I am on a budget so somethin for nothing or very little is always good.

Pmsl little, thats flappin Hooge.

I only really know about cheap exhaust systems which are purly to improve power not looks (ashley, sportex etc), I'm sure a full stainless exhaust system and manifold woul cost a lot, as well as weighing more that a mild steel. (i'm all about weight reduction/performance on a budget etc)

4-2-1 Manifold would/should be ideal for you.

better midrange would be the prefered option. so i should get rid of the cat and and run stainless all the way back?i already have a backbox on it only little though.

Rexy

what dya want better top end performance or better midrange performance.

Ideally, and this applies to my engine 16se I've got a 4-1 manifold, it didnt cost me anything and is ment for the exhasut system I have. which is 2.1/2 bore straight threw with a rather modest backbox.

Personally, I'd be tempted to go for a 4-2-1 manifold into 2 1/2 system get rid of the de-cat. My corsa 14xe went really well with an sim Ashley set up minus the manifold.

What is the ideal 4 branch manifold to use for performance then? and would you take cat out or get a sports cat. i know about the inlet manifold so that sorted just the exhaust manifold i need help with. :);)
