I've now also been told that the one in Hayes isn't too bad either. I really don't have a clue what to do now

At least it's not blowing, so there's no major rush, but I want to shut it up and change the tip (and get a cat put back in :o ) before show season.

MOT can be sorted if I don't get it done before then ;)

Powerflow in StAlbans, is bad.

The Powerflow in Redhill is the one I used for my Corsa B and my Nova and they are really good.

Cheers mate.

Plans are on hold atm as I've run out of excess money, it's welded up again atm at least so isn't blowing and down on power :)

I also stumbled across a metal fabrication bloke all of 5 mins from me last week who usually does roll cages ( for loads of well known Jap cars that have been featured etc) who said he'd be able to do me an exhaust as well - off to speak to him in the New Year too as his welding is :!

Rich, if you're still struggling to get hold of them I can help. I live about 5 mins from there, so if you need questions answered etc give me a u2u with some details and when I get a chance I'll wonder down there for ya ;)

Must say ive never had a problem with the chaps down there!

The centre box they originally fitted started to blow from the seam, went down there and they changed it there and then, and also changed the tip on the backbox for free aswell!

They do get abit busy and can take slightly longer than they quote, but service has always been good! Think they have changed hands quite a few times over the past few years however!

 That's who Jamie suggested!! Bugger.

Getting the blowing bits sorted this Friday finally, will be looking at getting the rest of it done early Jan now I guess. I may have to go back to Southampton after all - I'm a person of principles though, and if they cba to reply to me, I don't like giving them my custom!

In their defence they are a 2-man band down there and also operate a tyre shop at the same time..

Benn went to welsh customs to get his done, so I wouldn't bother with that.

Downpipe before lambda.

Due to me catching it slightly (and I mean slightly) on a dodgy cobbled street where I was getting a quote at Powerflow Brighton. For that reason and a couple of others I won't be going there for any work!

What bit is blowing? :| Manifold?

Rich H

Getting progression now - have a few plans up my sleeve, just need to decide where to take it now - had 2 recommendations for decent places.

Need to sort the blowing bits out ASAP though as they aren't going to be replaced. Aside to that though, it's now ridiculously loud and down on power quite badly.

If not Benn off Mig had a lovely system fitted to his LET nova, find his thread on MIG and have a look in there!

Totton Branch are brilliant. Shame you can't get hold of them - Really helpful.

Davey, do you know anyone with a ramp that can weld? :look:

DaveyLC

Most of the custom exhaust places are pretty useless. You are better off getting the bigger silencers and just finding someone with a ramp who can weld :)

Ideally Sussex or Surrey, but will travel if they have a good reputation.

Basically I want to carry out a few tweaks to the XE exhaust set up;

Refit Cat, change backbox (inc. tip) and make it a lot quieter with more baffles in a backbox and centre box.

The Powerflow dealer Phil had it all done at originally have failed to get back to me twice, so I cba with them, the dealer in Hove the other day seemed a bit suspect to me, and their location is incredibly difficult for me to get to in the Corsa (I now have a blowing exhaust after scraping it down their road last visit  ) and the other 2 suggested ones on the Powerflow site for my area have bad reputations!

So, wtf do I do?! Suggestions on companies to speak to, where to go etc much appreciated.

Was quoted £250 - £300 by the Poweflow place in Hove, and definitely don't want to spend more than that.

Cheers,

Rich
