Originally posted by Mav 3000 Im in the exact same situation - and it stinks. Its probably the worst feeling I've ever experienced; breaking up with my ex and then the person I'm in love with now won't be with me. She was with a lad who's spent his entire life on the dole, he binge drnks when his money comes through with his lad frineds, while she stays in alone. He'll see her when he's poor. He smokes, smokes weed, and takes cocaine. Early this year we were texting while she was at uni (she's on for a 1st and is so kind and brainy) - that weekend he surpises her by coming up and proposing to her. She says yes. A week later he fcuks a girl in his bed, and says to her he "did it cos he missed her". He pulled her, chatted her up, kissed, sex, the lot. she can't bring herself to be with him like that again but he comes over and makes her let him stay over (hes got no car, no buses etc). He came round unnanounced when she was ill, and last week when she wasn't seeing him, he faked suicide to get her round his - she, still thinking he's perfect, looks afterhim for 2 days. she just can't see how he manipulates her. he brainwashes her everytime he's with her. Now, she won't leave him, she won't take my advice or tell her frineds and family the truth about him, she pretends he's perfect when he isn't and lets her family think so too. she still sees him, refuses to see me and simply won't leave him, even though she's known me for three years (him 18 months) and she says she loves me. We talk for ages, all night sometimes, text constantly, she loves me, I know it, she tells me every day, and wehn we talk things are perfect, but she won't leave the coke-head-loser who's cheated on her - maybe out of pity, charity, I don't know, but it's the worst feeling in the world because were the most compatible couple I've ever ever known - we 'click' in every way, but she won't leave him. Anyone beat that? :( :( [Edited on 31-08-2003 by Mav 3000] [Edited on 31-08-2003 by Mav 3000]
